We also offer trips to the Missouri River in the fall, these trips are designed for the more experienced angler who wants to fish for some big spawning brown trout with streamers and fish for 16-18" rainbows on baetis dry flies. The catch is that weather is variable this time of year, but can set you up on some seriously good fishing if you are willing to battle the elements.

Big spawners stage into runs prior to getting on the redds, this kind of streamer fishing is not too unlike steelheading-a lot of casting for a few really big ones most of the time, and every once in a while you hit it just right and have a stellar day's fishing for big browns. On the other days, you can fill in the gaps in the smoother sections of river fishing for textbook 15-19" baetis-sipping rainbows, most of the time if you can get a drift over them with the right fly, they'll eat it-hang on, because these rainbows are torpedos and can put some distance between you and them quickly.
